Very cool. I really like how it seems that it could have been done by hand (did you do it by hand?). It is interesting to me how this really does fit the mold of punk, but how it has become so utterly commercial at this point that it's not rebellious in any way. - Christoffer.
I'm interested in: how your chose your words and the photos you wanted to combine? I like that you used unexpected things like a polaroid pictures with straight edges on top of a jagged background. It's a cool effect.
christoffer-do you mean if i scanned anything? no, it was all photoshop. and the text that looks like handwriting is actually handwriting.
lena- punks (punx) not dead is a movie and a popular saying by punks (both past and present)
but punks not dead...its just taking a nap is a quote from a bad religion fan who was angry that they didnt play an encore, so by having the bad religion picture there its almost like poking fun at the whole idea of punk, the disgruntled fan...while at the same time it is a cover that could have been done by that fan and is expressing his anger at his favorite band
Kirslyn, I really like this image! The use of the collage element is really successful because of all of the layers. I really want to see more images like this! I know you don't have time for this but it would be sweet if you created more pages as a series.
