Brian's Zine

  1. I like your symbolism of this with the money and the words flowing to show the things that are hard to attain without money. While I understand that the sushi represents expensive food, since the rest is nature-related, it doesn't fit in the best. The pencils on the bottom are great though, the different heights and the texture they add–it's thought-provoking as to how they fit in the symbolism of the rest of the image, too.

  2. The background pictures were all ones I took during my summer in Alaska, I was just focusing on the societal expectations that prevent me from living that kind of life all the time.

  3. I love this idea just because I know that you would rather be in Alaska at any given moment, but school and money often get in the way. I wish that any viewer could gather the same idea from this without knowing you personally. Maybe if there was a map of Alaska? I also kind of wish that the dollar bills were "flowier" looking, and less stamped-on.
