i like the idea, but think the white font is a little tough to read...maybe change the opacity/pen pressure? i think you should play around with the images more, make them look a little older, edgier...bump up the contrast, for sure, but with that being said i like that they are in color...
I love all of the details you considered in the first photo. It's interesting how even without a human subject, the observer can still get a feel for punk. My only suggestion would be to change the color of the words. In the second photo, they blend in a little.
I like the first one especially-where you chose to write the song lyrics moves your eye nicely around the photo. I actually like the color contrast to the black of the photo, it picks up the white of the cigarettes well. The lighting is nice of this one, it almost feels like a fashion photography-type shot, but I agree that having some sort of film over it with different lighting might make it feel less mainstream and more punk.
ALi, I like the use of handwriting! Your pics def seem punk. I say this because as a viewer that doesn't know much about it I would definitively say that this was punk regardless of knowing the assignment. good job

I like these photos a lot. They seem to capture the everyday of a certain group which is interesting to look at. I also like what you have done with the text, I agree with Brittany that the handwritten element is nice.
