Yue's assignment for me was to change it up and take photos in color, so I borrowed some of my roommate's shot glasses and just played around with them.
Yes, these are photos with color because the set of cups is colorful. However I would expect a more interesting way of telling the story of these beautiful cups. I think you can try experimenting with some narratives within the cups to make the photos more fun to look at. P.S. Good capture of texture! The slight blur of the photo is consistent with the texture of the objects.
You picked an awesome subject, not only for color, but also to show a very unnatural hard texture. I agree that the third image is particularly interesting- I think because it almost becomes a narrative like Hanyun was suggesting. Like the baby ducks following the mama duck or something. Maybe play with this more and almost personify the objects? Just an idea to push it!
