Kirslyn wanted me to work on composition and lighting, so I basically found things that interested me and tried to avoid any color casts or awkward light effects.

I love the buttons shot! I think you did a great job making some ordinary objects look really pretty in photos through your framing, lighting, and focus.
One thing I would remind you of is that the use of tripod can really increase the clarity of the details! The photos look good when they are small but when I expand them to full size they get blurry. P.S. Nice feeling of blue+green theme in the photos! So much fun to look at them in a series though it is only an experiment!
I think that you did a great job with composition and color- particularly the 2nd image. I agree with Hanyun however, that I wish these were a little more clear! With such cool interesting subject matter, I find myself wanting to look at every thread that makes up the yarn and every button in that jar. Maybe just bump up the shutter speed a bit?
i think you did a really good job with all of these :) they are definitely an improvement from some of your other work and it is nice to see you experimenting and picking up the camera more. kirslyn
I like the simplicity of these images a lot as well as the bright colors.--Brian
