kirslyn's assignment

emily told me to do something outside of the studio, of a subject that was not myself, to take pictures of something that was not necessarily always photographed.
i did what yue did and locked myself in my room with my external flash and focused on getting natural looking lighting.
i also noticed that there are a lot of cords on my side of the room...everywhere... and that my roommate and i are opposites haha.

    I love the up-close and personal effect - it worked out really well for you in this project. Everything seems so random and unorganized, which is exactly what makes it work as a series. I love the last picture of the hangers and jeans - the repetition is really cool - Alex

    I love the waters between the beds 1. because it reminds me of something random that would happen in my room or any messy dorm room and 2. because there is some deep artsiness to be drawn from it- like a sea (water) separating two nations (roommates)
